Alan Jax Bowers:
Producer, Drummer, Percussionist
Alan Jax Bowers is a drummer, percussionist, producer and owner of Mudcut Studios in Milford PA (soon to be opening a second location in Englewood Beach FL). He has been playing drums since the age of ten and has studied with some great players like the late great Ralph MacDonald, Will Calhoun, Karl Latham, Frank Katz, and the staff at Drummers Collective in New York City. He is currently touring the country with Parrotbeach, recording and touring with Rachel Allyn, and setting up for a tour with Marc Von Em from The Rob Thomas Band. He is also busy playing drums and/or percussion on sessions for clients all over the world. His musical journeys bring him to Key West and St Barth regularly (returning to play the world famous Baz Bar next season), Barbados, Hawaii, New Orleans, Las Vegas, Disney cruise line, and beyond.
Over the last few years Alan has been playing with members of Jimmy Buffett's Coral Reefer Band and Club Trini including 7 time CMA Musician of the Year Mac McAnally, Michael Utley, Robert Greenidge, Ralph MacDonald, Jim Mayer, Doyle Grisham, Tom Mitchel, Greg "Fingers" Taylor, and Tina Gullickson. Alan has also shared the stage with Earth Wind & Fire, Kenny Rogers, Lonestar, American Idol's Bo Bice, Nadirah Shakoor, KJ Denhert, and Travis Tritt just to name a few. And Alan has shared drum recording credits with Rich Redmond, Kenny Aronoff, and Abe Fogle to name a few. Alan proudly endorses GMS Drums, Rhythm Tech, Vater, Kelly Shu, Cympad, Porter & Davies, Heil, TRU Tuner, DrumTacs, and Big Fat Snare Drum.
